History
As a little boy I was afraid of German Shepherd Dogs and avoided them. Even
with being afraid of these dogs, I was intrigued and knew that one day I would
like to have one of these dogs as a pet. Having a friend like these great dogs and
being able to train them interested me very much.
1973 I bought my first Bitch "Heike Vom Schwerter Wald". I trained her and she
passed all tests including "Schutzdienst" and Strength Tests. After she received
her breed-survey I founded the "Vom Geisterholz" Kennel in Westphalia,
Germany. In 1975 I had my first puppies.
I became deeper and deeper involved in and with German Shepherd Dogs and I
am a Member of the "Verein fuer Deutsche Schaeferhunde" (SV, Main Club for
German Shepherds in Augsburg, Germany) since 1974.
For more than 10 years I travelled back and forth between Florida and Germany
and in 2004 I finally made my decision and the "Vom Geisterholz" Kennel, my
dog "Jane vom Kristallsee" (born in Berlin, Germany) and myself immigrated
completely to the United States.
In 2004 I started breeding German Shepherd Dogs the classic international
standard way here in Florida. We had quiet a few litters and all of the puppies are
developing in great healthy German Shepherd Dogs.
